AFCON 2025 Group Stage Ends as Nigeria and Algeria Qualify with Maximum Nine Points

The group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations officially concluded on December 31, with several teams sealing qualification for the knockout rounds. Among the standout performers were Nigeria and Algeria, both finishing their groups with a perfect nine points.

Softfootball gathered, Nigeria dominated Group C, winning all three matches. The Super Eagles opened their campaign with a 2–1 victory over Tanzania, followed by a thrilling 3–2 win against Tunisia, and capped it off with a convincing 3–1 triumph over Uganda.
