Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has revealed one of his regrets after the premier league match-day 14 encounter against Leeds United, Softfootball reports.
After beating Barcelona and drawing against Arsenal with 10 men, Chelsea suffered a shock 3-1 loss to Leeds United. It was so unexpected and raised questions about the abilities of the manager.

But while speaking during an interview that was shared via the official X handle of football expert, Fabrizio Romano, Maresca claimed that he should have played youngster, Josh Acheampon. He said:
One of the regrets I have after Leeds is that I didn’t play with Josh Acheampong. The reason why we played with Trevoh, Benoit and Tosin was because we saw long balls to their strikers, but even that, we lost most of them.
Josh Acheampon had his breakthrough year in the 2023/24 season for Chelsea and after a couple of appearances, he got his first senior goal against Nottingham Forest. He recently signed a new contract until June 2029.

Acheampon has enjoyed some few standout performances under Enzo Maresca and as Chelsea seek redemption against Bournemouth on Saturday, the youngster will be hoping to get a look in for a starting place.
Chelsea, the current Club World Cup winners following a comprehensive 3-0 victory in the final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are currently fourth on the premier league table with 24 points after 14 matches so far.
