Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has revealed how he was banned from a Manchester United Christmas Party by Sir Alex Ferguson, Softfootball reports.
The former Red Devils midfielder was one of the most successful Captains in the history of the club and would’ve been impressed when current skipper, Bruno Fernandez provided two assists at the weekend to help Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Speaking with former teammate, Gary Neville, Arsenal legend Ian Wright and former England star Jill Scott on Overlap’s official podcast, Keane explained how it happened. He narrated:
I got banned from the Manchester United Christmas party one year. I must’ve been injured, and the reserve team were having a night out and I went out with them. I think there was a bit of bother in Manchester. Obviously, I was trying to be peacemaker. The first team lads were going out a couple days later, and Sir Alex Ferguson came in, and in front of everyone, he said that if anyone was seen drinking with me that day, they would get fined. The players were worried about getting fined, so I ended up going out by myself. I had a party by myself.
Roy Keane recently advocated for Diego Simeone to become Manchester United Coach as he doesn’t trust Ruben Amorim to deliver with the club and current crop of players.

December is here, which means Christmas season is ON! 🎄

Last season, Manchester United finished 15th in the premier league and lost the UEFA Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in a disappointing first season for Ruben Amorim as Red Devils boss. However, things have improved this season as Manchester United are currently in seventh with 21 points after 13 matches so far.
In the spirit of Christmas, Roy Keane might just give Amorim a chance of doing well after four wins, a draw and one loss in his last six premier league matches for Manchester United and they would return to action on Thursday to face West Ham United.
