Manchester United Injury Update Ahead of Crystal Palace Clash

Rúben Amorim has confirmed that Manchester United will be without Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Šeško and Harry Maguire for the Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace on Sunday. The update comes as United continue to deal with injuries following their recent 1-0 home defeat to Everton.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, Amorim explained that Cunha would not be available this weekend; he expects the forward to return for the next match.

He said:

Rúben Amorim: Matheus Cunha will not be available this weekend. For Šeško it’s going to take a bit more time, Harry Maguire’s going to take some time too.

Amorim also addressed the status of Šeško, who has been recovering from a knee issue suffered in the draw with Tottenham Hotspur before the November international break.

Softfootball recently reported that United hoped to have Šeško back in training by early December, but Amorim made it clear that the striker still needs more time. Maguire remains out as well after a hamstring problem, and the manager admitted he also needs time as well.

United’s injury list is arriving at an uncomfortable moment as the team tries to regain rhythm after the disappointing loss to Everton. Amorim admitted the situation has been frustrating.

The absence of Cunha reduces United’s attacking options, and the continued unavailability of Šeško only adds to that challenge. Losing Maguire again leaves another gap on the defensive side, something the manager hoped would be resolved sooner.

As United prepare to face Crystal Palace, Amorim stressed that the team must stay focused and work with what they have. He said the players understand the responsibility on them and that the goal now is to respond with a stronger and more controlled performance.
