Fulham have announced that Rodrigo Muniz will have surgery on his hamstring after a scan and review from specialists. As a result, he is expected to return to his normal schedule early in the New year.

The club made the announcement via their official X handle. They posted:

Rodrigo Muniz underwent scans and the club sought specialist opinion following our game at Everton last weekend. He will have surgery in his hamstring over the coming days and is expected to return to action early in the new year.

It is a significant setback for Fulham as Muniz has played a key role in the attacking side. Softfootball earlier reported that in the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Muniz led the match for his team, giving the late goal which brought the game to a 1-1 draw.

The club expects Muniz to be back early in the new year, but no exact date has been given. His absence will be felt by the club, but they will have to adjust.

Muniz was present on the pitch during the Arsenal Vs Fulham clash in October which had ended with Arsenal securing a 1-0 win over his team. His recent unavailability means Fulham will need to consider other forward options.

Their manager, Marco Silva might be forced to turn to other attackers or change his attacking strategy while Muniz recovers. The surgery and rehabilitation will be carefully managed to bring him back in full fitness and form.

It will be a challenging time for Muniz, but he will need to focus on rest, surgery, full recovery and rehabilitation. Fulham’s medical team will ensure he follows a strict plan which would be a general benefit to him.
