Paris Saint-Germain have been hit with a fresh wave of injury problems, as the club confirmed that Achraf Hakimi has suffered a severe sprain in his left ankle and will be out for several weeks. The Moroccan full-back picked up the injury during Tuesday’s 2–1 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich after a heavy challenge from Luis Díaz, who was eventually shown a red card.
Softfootball understands that there were real concerns Hakimi might’ve fractured something, but scans later ruled that out. Still, the news isn’t good. The recovery timeline means his chances of featuring in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations, which begins December 21 in Morocco, are now hanging by a thread.
It doesn’t stop there for PSG. Ousmane Dembélé has also been ruled out with a left calf problem, while Nuno Mendes is nursing a sprained left knee. Both players are expected to be out for a few weeks as well, leaving Luis Enrique short on key options at a crucial point in the season. Fabrizio Romano announced both players’ injuries in a post made via his official X account.

Nuno Mendes suffered a sprain in his left knee, as PSG statement confirm. The left back will remain under medical care for the next few weeks.
The club confirmed all three injuries in a medical update released on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, and said further checks would be carried out after the international break. For Enrique, it’s another headache, with Champions League nights and tricky Ligue 1 fixtures coming fast, PSG’s depth will be seriously tested in the coming weeks.
