Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso revealed that he watched Como sensation Nico Páz against Juventus, Softfootball reports.
The 20-year-old was the match of the match over the weekend as he inspired Como to a 2-0 win over Juventus. And it’s not a surprise that the Real Madrid wants him back in 2026 despite having so many stars already in their squad.
According to a post shared by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Alonso is open about his admiration for the midfielder. He wrote:
Xabi Alonso on Nico Páz: For sure Nico made a very intelligent step joining Como last year. Of course I watched Juventus vs Como last day, he did and they did very well.

Interestingly, Real Madrid had the opportunity to resign Paz this summer for as low as eight million Euros but wanted him to still get more first team experience in the Serie A side, Como under the tutelage of former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas.
The Los Blancos are currently enjoying a fine season under Xabi Alonso and best with players like Ander Guler, Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Franco Mastantuono.
Real Madrid are top of LaLiga with 24 points after nine matches while in the Serie A Como are currently placed sixth with 12 points after seven matches, having won three, drawn three and lost just one this season.
