Barcelona forward, Marcus Rashford has revealed that he is yet to reach his best version as a footballer, Softfootball reports.

The 27-year-old who was part of the England squad that hammered Latvia 5-0 to seal qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, is Barcelona’s top assister with four in LaLiga.

Football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle shared an interview where Rashford talked about his potential as a footballer. He said:

Marcus Rashford: When I reach my maximum potential, that will be the best version of myself. I’ll also be happier, and I believe it will be a version that I’ve already seen and felt before in my life.

Rashford joined Barcelona in the summer from Manchester United on a season long loan with a mandatory clause of 30 million pounds inserted in the deal. Reports claim that the Catalan giants are so far impressed with the England international and are poised to make the deal permanent next summer.

Rashford was tipped for greatness when he broke into the Manchester United first team, scoring on his debut against Arsenal and going on to be one of the highest paid players in the premier league.

However, he fell out with consecutive Red Devils managers for lack of efforts, especially Ruben Amorim last season and was blocked from rejoining preseason until he secured a move away from the club.

Rashford is expected to start at the weekend when Barcelona resumes Laliga action against Girona at home.
