Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano who was among the first to break the news of Lammens moving to Manchester United shared via his official X handle an interview where the goalkeeper talked about his move to the 20-time premier league champions. He wrote:

Senne Lammens: “Moving to Man United was my dream since day zero”.

“We have everything to win titles here. There’s no excuses. It’s a step up from Antwerp, when I came here the first time it was eye opening”.

Senne Lammens inability for first team football at Club Brugge as he played second fiddle to Simon Mignolet forced him into a move to Royal Antwerp as a teenager in 2023.

Here are highlights of Lammens’ from his debut as posted by Manchester United’s official X handle.

Interestingly, he made his Champions League debut in a 2-0 loss to Porto but was not first choice in the League with Jean Butez as the club’s first choice but took his chance during the Jupiler Pro League’s end-of-season play-offs, where he featured in nine out of his side’s 10 matches. He never looked back from there until his move to Manchester United.

Senne Lammens is already rated as a top-class goalkeeper and currently hailed as heir to Belgium’s number 1 Thibaut Courtois for the national team. He showed glimpses of the with his Man of the match performance against Sunderland and United fans would hope he continues in that light.
