Arsenal Will Win the 2025–26 Premier League; Here’s Why

4 Min Read

Despite suffering a narrow 1–0 defeat to Liverpool back in August, Softfootball reports that Arsenal are quietly emerging as the most balanced and complete team in the Premier League this season. Now sitting second with 13 points from six games and boasting the best goal difference in the division (+9), the Gunners have conceded just three goals a clear reflection of how far Mikel Arteta’s men have come in building a side capable of grinding out results.

The evolution has been gradual but unmistakable. You can tell this Arsenal side have learnt from the heartbreaks of the last two years. Indeed, Arsenal’s new signings have pushed them closer to the finish line on what a title-winning team looks like. The arrival of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace and Viktor Gyökeres has reshaped their attacking dynamics.

Gyökeres, a powerhouse in the final third, has already scored three goals in five matches, blending physical dominance with an almost old-school striker’s composure. Eze, meanwhile, continues to grow into his role, offering bursts of creativity and daring runs from the left. With Declan Rice and Martín Zubimendi pulling strings in midfield, Arsenal’s shape between defence and attack feels more complete than any rival’s.

Arsenal are not a team lacking in goals either; they even posted videos of two top-drawer goals scored by Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Zubimendi on the team’s official X account.

Liverpool may top the table with 15 points, but numbers tell a different story. Their goal difference (+5) trails Arsenal’s, and the £125 million arrival of Alexander Isak has, at least for now, unsettled their rhythm, which was evident in his struggles against Crystal Palace. The Swede is still adjusting, and Liverpool’s defence has looked unusually fragile, leaking seven goals already, including a shock defeat to Crystal Palace.

Manchester City, though never out of contention, appear unusually human. They’ve lost three of their first six matches. something unimaginable in recent years. Haaland is back among the goals, but defensive lapses and transitional issues continue to plague Pep Guardiola’s men.

Palace themselves have been the league’s surprise package. Sitting third with 12 points, Oliver Glasner’s structured 4-2-3-1 has frustrated big names , even holding City to a draw. If they keep this up, they might shape the title race without ever being in it.

Newcastle United, on the other hand, look a shadow of themselves without Isak. With just six points so far, their lack of a consistent goal threat could see them drift into mid-table obscurity.

But Arsenal? They look different this time, and they feel like a team that can beat anyone, home or away. With a rock-solid defence, mature tactical control, and improved depth across the pitch, Arsenal finally look ready to go all the way. If they maintain this balance, there’s every reason to believe they’ll edge Liverpool in what promises to be one of the tightest title races in years.
