Real Madrid cruised past Kairat Almaty with a commanding 5-0 victory in Kazakhstan, as Kylian Mbappé stole the spotlight with a stunning hat-trick to keep Los Blancos flying in the UEFA Champions League, Softfootball reports.
Coming into this game, all eyes were on Xabi Alonso’s men after their 5-2 humiliation against Atlético Madrid last weekend. That derby collapse had raised questions about their mentality and defensive approach towards the games, but this trip to Almaty offered the perfect chance to reset and show a response.

The hosts nearly shocked Madrid early on when Dastan Satpayev’s header forced Thibaut Courtois into action, but that scare only lit a spark under the 15-time European champions. Vinícius Júnior went close before Franco Mastantuono won a penalty after being clattered by goalkeeper Sherhan Kalmurza. Mbappé stepped up, cool as ever, to fire Madrid into the lead.
The Frenchman doubled his tally just minutes after the restart, racing onto Courtois’ long ball and lifting it over the onrushing keeper. His third arrived soon after a ruthless low strike that not only killed off Kairat’s faint hopes but also wrote his name into the record books. Mbappé now sits level with Filippo Inzaghi for the most away hat-tricks in Champions League history.

Madrid weren’t finished either. Eduardo Camavinga powered home a header for his first UCL goal, before Brahim Díaz drove in a fifth off the post to cap off a dominant European night. Kairat, spirited early on, were left chasing shadows as Alonso’s side turned on the style.
Its no doubt that after scoring an incredible hatrick, Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe was named the man of the match, this was confirmed after Real Madrid posted via therir official X handle, exclusive video of the french star picking up his award and thanking the Los Blancos fans for their amazing support, see video below;

The win now means Real Madrid have two wins from two in Europe this season, building on their opening 2-1 victory over Marseille. With Mbappé in this kind of form, Los Blancos already look like serious contenders to lift the title for a record 16th time once again.
