Arsenal returned from the international break in emphatic fashion, brushing aside Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates to continue their blistering start to the Premier League season. Martín Zubimendi scoring twice, while Viktor Gyökeres added a third cap off a dominant performance from Mikel Arteta’s men, Softfootball reports.
But alongside the goalscorers, much of the post-match conversation centered on Noni Madueke. The winger, who impressed over the international break by netting his first ever senior goal for England in their 5-0 World Cup qualifying win against Serbia, is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young figures in Arteta’s squad.

Speaking after the win, Arteta was full of praise for what Madueke has brought since his arrival. In his post match conference with the press via Aresnal’s website, he said;
A lot of courage, that’s how I describe him. A lot of quality but a lot of courage. When we were about to sign him and there was that reaction around him, I spoke to him and he was like: ‘I go for it, I cannot wait to put that shirt on and play for you guys.’ I said, wow, let’s bring him. If I was convinced before, I’m more convinced now that he’s going to do it.
I think he has such a power, such a capacity to repeat efforts because to be able to do that physically, you have to have a different specimen, and he’s certainly that. But he’s very skilful, very unpredictable, he’s so willing to learn and he brings joy. I look at him and he’s always smiling, he’s always trying things. He gets one wrong, he goes again and that’s what I love about creative players — because you need that to be successful.

Madueke’s lively cameos and fearless attitude have added an extra spark to Arsenal’s attack, something that was evident both in Belgrade with England and again today in North London. With Bukayo Saka still working his way back to full fitness, Arteta will have lean even more heavily on Madueke’s talent, and relentless energy.
For Arsenal, the 3-0 win keeps them in the early title race conversation. For Madueke, it could just another step in what is shaping up to be a perfect season at both club and international level.
