Brazilian winger, Antony is desperately waiting for permission from Manchester United before joining Real Betis this summer, Softfootball reports.
The former Ajax winger enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Spanish club last season and wishes to sign with them permanently but they’ve been unable to reach agreement on the deal with the 20-time English champions.

Speaking on the issue via his official X handle, football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano informs that the two clubs are still far in their valuation of the player but negotiations are on.
He said:
“Real Betis and Manchester United keep negotiating every day for Antony but still waiting for green light.
“Man United today insist on selling Antony rather than loaning him out… with high requests.
“Betis, trying all their best efforts to make it happen.”
Real Betis are pushing for a loan deal with an obligation to buy, having offered to pay for 50% ownership rights of the player which Manchester United rejected as they will only settle for outright sale of the player.
Last season, Antony scored nine goals in 26 appearances for Betis. He was also part of the team that got to the UEFA Conference League final but were defeated by Chelsea.
Antony was part of the ‘bomb squad’ Ruben Amorim banned from Manchester United’s pre-season, others are Marcus Rashford (now at Barcelona on loan), Alejandro Garnacho (on the verge of Chelsea move), Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia (Close to Elche switch).
Antony made 96 appearances, scoring 12 goals for Manchester United since moving from Ajax for £86 million ($116m) in 2022.
That figure makes him the second-most expensive ever signing for the Red Devils after Paul Pogba who joined from Juventus for a whooping £89.3m ($120m) in 2016.
Antony has two years left on his current Manchester United contract. He has not featured in any matches for Ruben Amorim’s team in the premier league this season.
