Tsimikas’ arrival will be Roma’s third loan purchase from the Premier League, Evan Ferguson from Brighton and Leon Bailey from Aston Villa.
Tsimikas has already been removed from the 25-man Liverpool squad to face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday as he got the team permission to travel to Rome for his media and sign his loan deal which includes obligations to buy.
Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to drop points this season. The Gunners beat Manchester United 1-0 on the opening day of the season and hammered Leeds United 5-0 at the Emirates while the Reds beat Bournemouth 4-2 at Anfield before winning 3-2 at St James’ Park against Newcastle.
Meanwhile, AS Roma seem to have missed out on the possibility of signing Manchester United winger Jordon Sancho. The former Borussia Dortmund star turned down the chance to move to Rome as he believes other teams will come for his service despite Manchester United ready to sell him for a very cheap fee this summer.
