Ahead of the match against rivals Manchester United, Arsenal Coach Mikel Arteta has provided updates on three of his key players, Softfootball reports.
The match which will be played on Sunday is the first game for both sides in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign. The Gunners finished second last season and are looking to win it all this season while the Red Devils finished 15th last term and would consider a place in the top six a success this season.

Speaking in the press conference at the Sobha Realty Training Centre which was captured by the official club media ahead of the match, Arteta seems relaxed while talking about the fitness of the Belgium international, Leandro Trossard.
He said:
“I think he’s much better. I think he will be able to train again tomorrow and if that’s the case, he will be fit.”
Questions were also asked about the likely availability of summer signings Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi as both were part of pre-season for the North London club.
Arteta revealed:
“[Viktor’s] getting better and better every day. He’s normally a really fit player. It’s true that he hasn’t trained so much with us. He had those two moments in games when he’s participated and the feeling was very good. So let’s see what we do on Sunday.
“[On Zubi], he had a great integration. As everybody can see this immediately, a very big impact on the team. I’m really happy and he will be fit.”
Arsenal have recruited well this summer and apart from being in Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres. They also signed Noni Madueke from Chelsea and Christian Norgaard from Brentford.
Manchester United went for heavy attacking reinforcements as they signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Benjamin Šeško from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig. Not forgetting the 18-year-old defender Diego Leon.
The match between Manchester United is on super Sunday at Old Trafford and both sides will hope to begin the season with three points.
