Ilya Zabarnyi is now just hours away from being unveiled as Paris Saint-Germain’s latest signing after completing his medical in the French capital. Softfootball reported that the Ukrainian defender arrived in Paris on Sunday, went through his tests without a hitch, and has now put pen to paper on a long-term deal. The official announcement from PSG is expected at any moment.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano broke the news on his official X account, writing:
“Ilya Zabarnyi has completed his medical and can be considered as new Paris Saint-Germain player.”
The deal has been in the works for weeks, with PSG and Bournemouth locked in negotiations over the 22-year-old centre-back. The agreement is worth €63 million up front, with a further €3 million in add-ons, bringing the total package to €66 million. Zabarnyi has signed a five-year contract, giving Luis Enrique another top-quality option in central defence.
