Manchester United may have agreed personal terms with Benjamin Sesko but the club is yet to reach agreement with RB Leipzig as Newcastle United are still pushing to sign the player.
Softfootball reported how Sesko accepted the Old Trafford project and agreed to a 5 year contract with Amorim’s team. However, there is still a tussle going on between clubs as representatives of all clubs involved are still in contact.

Newcastle had been handed a big blow with Isak pushing to leave but they just got landed a bigger blow with Sesko agreeing to United’s proposal. The Magpies’ representatives are still in Germany and are making contacts with club to override United’s negotiation.
Meanwhile, Manchester United’s representatives are scheduled for more meeting with the German side later today.
According to Florian Plettenberg who is giving updating on this Sesko’s transfer battle via his verified X handle, Sesko had agreed 100% to United.
He first posted:
“New negotiations between RB Leipzig and Manchester United are already scheduled for this morning, aimed at reaching an agreement over Benjamin #Sesko.
“It’s not an easy deal, but it’s understood that all parties remain optimistic that the transfer to Manchester United will go through. #MUFC
Then he updated with this new post:
“Showdown in Leipzig today! Newcastle, like Manchester United, still have representatives on site in Leipzig, ready to react in case Man United cannot reach an agreement with Leipzig.
“However, the Red Devils are going all in – especially because Benjamin #Sesko has now clearly committed: he wants to join Manchester United. #MUFC
“Personal terms are 100% agreed.”
It is left to see who offers the highest amount to RB Leipzig between Manchester United and Newcastle United. The Slovenian is valued at £70m by RB Leipzig and they will only listen to offers starting from that range.
Newcastle are in a hot race with Darwin Nunez joining Al-Hilal, Liverpool might be coming back for Isak.
