Xavi Simons wants to force Chelsea move as Broja set to exit Stamford Bride

Xavi Simons is seem to be taking all the laws into his hands regarding his proposed move from Leipzig to Chelsea this summer. Softfootball understands that Chelsea have approached Leipzig for the Dutch midfielder.

There had been opening negotiations and discussion between all parties involved and it does seem the club fee agreement has not reached any stage yet although there seem to be a satisfying feeling among all parties.

The winger who can also operate from the middle is seem to be highly rated by Enzo Maresca and is eager to have him in his squad. Simons had been wanted by Bayern Munich but it does look the Dutch international was not top priority as they have unveiled Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz earlier this week.

Simons is reported to have removed RB Leipzig from his Instagram handle bio as he is trying to make a statement to the German club. Transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano had posted about Simons act on his own verified X handle.

Fabrizio wrote:

“Xavi Simons removing RB Leipzig from his Instagram bio, seen as transfer message: he wants Chelsea move. Negotiations remain advanced, more work to do to get it done but Xavi has 2 years left on his contract and won’t extend.”

While Xavi is trying to force a move to Stamford Bridge, a Blue is forcing his way out. Armando Broja is set to join Burnley as he has given green light on the move.

The striker’s time with the Blues has been impeded with injuries and despite being sent on loan a few times, he is yet to hit his best in the Chelsea shirt.

Chelsea has seen a number of exit this summer as Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga and a few fringe players have exited the club this summer. Broja’s case is not so surprising as he has not been in shape for a long while.

The striker has now agreed to join newly promoted side Burnley as the Clarets try to pack up enough quality for the season.

French journalist, Fabrice Hawkins reports via his verified X handle that Broja has completed the first phase of his medicals.

He wrote:

“Armando Broja is already at Burnley.

First part of his medical completed

It will be a long term contract. The striker is leaving Chelsea. Exclusive story confirmed.

Chelsea has had a very long summer with their participation in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup which they eventually won. They have also had good business in the transfer window as they aim to balance the books ahead of next season.
