Cristhian Mosquera has begun work as an Arsenal after his official unveiling by the club. The Gunners unveiled Mosquera as their fifth signing of the season.
Softfootball confirms that the Spanish U23 defender who signed a long deal with the Gunners had flown to Singapore to join his new teammates even before his unveiling.

The 21-year old sent his first words to Arsenal fans around the world in a video after he was unveiled by the club. Mosquera’s message was posted on Arsenal’s official X handle.

Mosquera was one of Valencia’s instrumental players last season as he played 90 games in total and 37 La Liga games for the club.
Having been in Singapore already, the versatile defender went to training with the rest of the players as the other new signings have, except Noni Madueke who is still on an extended holiday after helping Chelsea get to the finals of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Chelsea eventually won the cup but Madueke did not feature in the final.
Mosquera will be looking to fight for a starting shirt with Arsenal main starters in the past 3 season in William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes. However displacing from being starters will be a tough battle but Softfootball understands that Mosquera will be a back to both defenders alongside Jakub Kiwior.
Arteta had mentioned earlier in a statement that he prefers to have his new signings early so they can join for preseason and understand the system.
Arteta stressed:
“Having them early and for preseason is always good.
“I love what I have seen in past few days”
With Mosquera now a Gunner, the Arsenal are still working to complete signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. Multiple reports confirm both clubs have exchanged document and medical is now set for the Swedish striker.
The Gunners are reportedly also still in the market and rumoured to now be nearing a deal for Crystal Palace star, Eberechi Eze.
