Simone Inzaghi has only been Coach for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for less than two months but his impact has been a fantastic for the Asian side.
Softfootball can report that the former Inter Milan manager is keen to reunite with former midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkish international is currently under contract with Inter until the summer of 2027 but he also wants out after his recent fights with club captain Lautaro Martinez due to his performances lately.
According to calciomercato, Calhanoglu whose current contract runs until the summer of 2027, reportedly earns a salary of €6.5m per season which is the second-highest in the Nerazzurri camp only behind the aforementioned Lautaro.
However, Galatasaray are favourite to land the midfielder and prepared to offer Calhanoglu a ‘double-digit’ salary in excess of €10m per season.
Softfootball had reported earlier that Inzaghi will love a reunion with Calhanoglu this summer. Al-Hilal is ready to hijack the deal with Galatasaray and will offer a contract worth up to €20m per season in wages.
Inter Milan are not prepared to let Calhanoglu go for a cheap as they will only sell the player for a fee in the region of €30m.
