Enzo Maresca has praised Ayyoub Bouaddi for his ability to improve the players around him, describing the young midfielder as a fantastic talent whose influence goes beyond his individual performances. The Chelsea manager believes Bouaddi possesses a special quality that allows his teammates to perform at a higher level whenever he is on the pitch.
Speaking about the midfielder, Maresca highlighted how his presence benefits the entire team, explaining that the ability to make teammates better is a characteristic associated with top-level footballers. Softfootball understands that the manager’s assessment reflects the growing appreciation for players who can influence matches through their intelligence, composure and understanding of the game.
Maresca explained that Bouaddi’s contribution is not limited to what he produces individually. Instead, his greatest strength lies in the positive effect he has on those playing alongside him. According to the Chelsea boss, this quality separates exceptional players from the rest, as they create opportunities for teammates to perform more effectively.
The Italian manager also recently spoke about Pep Guardiola’s lasting connection with Manchester City ahead of the Spaniard’s return to the Etihad Stadium.
Maresca described the occasion as a special moment for Guardiola, considering the decade he spent building his legacy at the club. He acknowledged that the stadium remains Guardiola’s home because of everything he accomplished during his time in charge.
The Chelsea manager’s comments underline the lasting influence Guardiola has had on English football, particularly through his tactical ideas, achievements and the standards he established at Manchester City.
While Maresca’s praise of Bouaddi focuses on the qualities that make a player exceptional, his tribute to Guardiola highlights how a manager’s impact can extend far beyond the touchline. Both observations point to the importance of influence, whether it comes from a midfielder improving his teammates or a coach leaving a lasting mark on a football club.
