Bradley Barcola has discussed the physical demands of English football after completing his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Liverpool, explaining how the Premier League’s relentless pace makes it a different challenge from Ligue 1.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the French winger highlighted the amount of running required in England, describing matches as fast-paced contests in which teams constantly move from one end of the pitch to the other.

Barcola acknowledged that French football is also physically demanding, but believes the Premier League places greater emphasis on sustained running and intensity throughout matches. He explained that adapting to these demands represents an important challenge in his career.

The 23-year-old’s comments come after Liverpool reached an agreement in principle with PSG for his transfer in August. The deal was subsequently completed, with the Reds securing his signature in a package worth up to £123 million, including potential add-ons.

Barcola joined Liverpool after an impressive spell in Paris, where he developed into one of the club’s attacking options and gained valuable experience competing for major domestic and European honours.

His arrival strengthened Liverpool’s attacking options as the club looked to add pace, creativity and directness to their forward line. The French international’s ability to beat defenders, make dangerous runs and operate across the frontline offers his new team additional attacking flexibility.

However, adjusting to the Premier League’s physical demands will be an important part of his development in England. The intensity of the competition can require attackers to contribute defensively while maintaining their effectiveness in the final third.

Barcola’s willingness to embrace the challenge reflects his ambition to test himself in a different footballing environment. With his Liverpool move completed, the winger will now look to translate his talent into consistent performances and establish himself as an important figure at Anfield.
