Manchester United’s difficult Premier League campaign continued after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, leaving them with just six points from their opening six matches.
The result extended their winless run to four consecutive games, increasing the pressure on the club to turn their season around.

The draw also means United have recorded only one victory in their first six league fixtures, a home win against Ipswich Town.
Their slow start has raised fresh concerns about the team’s consistency and ability to compete for a place near the top of the Premier League table. It is their worst league start since 1986, underlining the scale of the challenge facing the club.
United looked set to claim all three points after Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. Matheus Cunha provided the assist, allowing Mbeumo to finish confidently and put the home side ahead.
However, Tottenham refused to give up despite Rodrigo Bentancur receiving a red card in the 78th minute following a violent confrontation. United had a numerical advantage but failed to take control of the closing stages.
Their inability to protect the lead proved costly when Dominic Solanke rose to meet Sandro Tonali’s cross in the 92nd minute, heading home the equaliser and silencing the home crowd.
The late goal summed up United’s frustrating afternoon, as they dropped two valuable points against ten-man opposition. Although they showed moments of attacking promise, their lack of control and defensive concentration once again proved expensive.
With six points from six matches and no victories in their last four games, Manchester United must find answers quickly. Another disappointing result could intensify scrutiny of their performances as expectations remain high at Old Trafford.
