Paris Saint-Germain have handed Luis Enrique a huge salary increase as part of their efforts to secure the manager’s long-term future at the club.
The Spanish coach’s annual wages have reportedly risen from €12 million to €20 million gross, making him one of the highest-paid managers in world football. Spanish media have described the increase as an extraordinary financial commitment from PSG, with the club determined to prevent Enrique from becoming a potential target for Barcelona.
Softfootball earlier reported that Enrique had agreed a new three-year contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, keeping him at the Parc des Princes until June 2030.
The 56-year-old has enjoyed an exceptional spell since taking charge of the French champions in July 2023. Under his leadership, PSG have continued to dominate domestically while also establishing themselves as a major force in European football.
Enrique has guided the club to three Ligue 1 titles and back-to-back Champions League triumphs, strengthening his position as one of the most successful managers in PSG’s history.
His achievements have also increased his value to the club, with PSG now prepared to reward him accordingly. The salary increase represents a significant rise but reflects the importance the French champions place on maintaining continuity.
