Bournemouth have reaffirmed their stance on Alex Scott, insisting there is no intention to open the door for the midfielder to leave this summer.

The Cherries believe Scott could potentially leave in 2027, but there is no plan to sanction his departure during the current transfer window.
Chelsea had previously shown strong interest in the midfielder, but their pursuit has now lost momentum.
Softfootball reported earlier in August that a summer move to Stamford Bridge was increasingly unlikely after Bournemouth rejected Chelsea’s opening £64 million bid for Scott at the end of July.
The Blues were understood to be satisfied with their midfield options, with Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers expected to operate as attacking midfielders while the existing squad provides depth in the central and defensive roles.

With Chelsea expected to play just one match per week for large parts of the season, the club do not believe reinforcements in central midfield are currently necessary.
Chelsea’s interest has therefore cooled, and unless Bournemouth dramatically change their position, Scott is expected to stay for another season, with a potential departure more likely to come next summer.
