Softfootball understands that Ipswich Town have reached a club-to-club agreement with Aston Villa for Tammy Abraham to join on a straight loan deal, with the striker now deciding whether to make the move.
Ipswich have offered Abraham the prestigious No.9 shirt as they look to convince the experienced forward to become a key part of their attacking plans.
The 28-year-old returned to Aston Villa on a permanent basis earlier this year, completing an emotional return to the club where he previously enjoyed a successful spell. However, recurring injury problems have restricted his playing time and prevented him from establishing consistent momentum since returning.
A loan move to Ipswich could provide Abraham with the opportunity to regain his fitness, play regular first-team football and rediscover his best form.
