The Saudi Pro League side have also presented Martinelli with a lucrative contract worth around €20 million per season.

Al-Hilal are now waiting for the winger’s final green light before formally completing the agreement and moving towards the remaining formalities.

Softfootball reported earlier that negotiations between Al-Hilal and Arsenal had reached the final stages, with a fee in the region of £50-55 million initially discussed. Arsenal prepared to accept the proposal and sanction Martinelli’s departure. Talks over personal terms are still ongoing, with the Brazilian winger expected to make his final decision soon.

The Brazilian winger had been ahead of Pedro Neto and Francisco Conceição on Al Hilal’s shortlist, and the Saudi club are now working to turn their interest into a completed transfer.

Martinelli had already opened the door to a move to Saudi Arabia, putting Al-Hilal in a strong position as they pursued the Arsenal winger.

The latest proposal now represents a significant increase on the figures initially discussed, with the overall package potentially reaching €66 million.

Everything is now dependent on Martinelli’s decision, with Al-Hilal waiting for his approval to formalise the transfer. With the clubs close on the financial terms, the remaining focus is on Martinelli’s decision and finalising his personal agreement with Al Hilal.
