Chelsea remain relaxed over Josh Acheampong’s future despite growing interest from several Premier League clubs ahead of the transfer deadline.
The highly rated defender has attracted enquiries from across the division, with Liverpool and Manchester United among the clubs to have shown interest in recent months.
Softfootball reported in early June that Chelsea rejected multiple approaches for Acheampong, including two from Premier League rivals. The club, backed by head coach Xabi Alonso, made it clear they view the academy graduate as part of their long-term plans, with his contract running until 2029.
While Chelsea’s stance remains unchanged, the situation is one to monitor. Acheampong is eager for regular first-team football, and his pathway could become more complicated if the Blues recruit another centre-back and Levi Colwill reclaims a regular starting role.
