Chelsea are preparing a formal €100 million bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé as the Blues step up their pursuit of one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Softfootball reported in late June that Liverpool’s hopes of signing the Ivorian had suffered a major setback after reports claimed Diomandé viewed Paris Saint-Germain as his preferred destination should he leave RB Leipzig this summer.
The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has emerged as a priority target following a breakout Bundesliga campaign, but RB Leipzig are standing firm with a valuation in excess of €120 million.
Chelsea are expected to test Leipzig’s resolve with a substantial financial package and are also considering including a loan-back clause to help secure the deal while allowing Diomandé to continue his development.

The Blues face strong competition from Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United, all of whom have closely monitored the teenager’s rapid rise.
Diomandé previously turned down a move to Chelsea earlier in his career in favour of securing regular first-team football, a decision that has helped accelerate his development into one of Europe’s most sought-after wingers.
Chelsea are now hoping their ambitious proposal can change the course of the race as they push to land one of the most exciting young attackers in world football.
