The agreement ends any speculation over a possible move to Manchester United, confirming reports linking the Premier League club with a return for the Brazilian midfielder later this summer were unfounded after negotiations collapsed exactly one week ago.

Softfootball reported three days ago that Atalanta were preparing to offer Éderson fresh terms after reaffirming their belief that the Brazilian was fully fit following the collapse of his proposed transfer to Manchester United.
United had identified Éderson as one of their priority midfield targets this summer, but the deal was abandoned after the club withdrew from negotiations and shifted its attention to alternative options. Éderson has now ended all uncertainty by committing his future to Atalanta through to 2031.
