Reports linking Marcus Rashford with a move to Fenerbahçe has been firmly dismissed. Softfootball understands there are no talks and no plans for the England international to join the Turkish club, despite recent speculation in the Turkish media suggesting José Mourinho’s side were interested in signing the forward.

Earlier, Manchester United have held positive and direct discussions with Rashford’s representatives, opening the door for the 28-year-old to rejoin the squad ahead of the new campaign under head coach Michael Carrick.

Carrick is keen to work closely with Rashford during pre-season as he evaluates his squad, with the United boss believing the academy graduate still has an important role to play if he remains at Old Trafford. The development follows Rashford’s return from his loan spell at Barcelona.

While Rashford is expected to begin pre-season with United, his long-term future remains uncertain. The club are open to considering offers should a leading European side submit a proposal that reflects the player’s value. For now, a move to Fenerbahçe is not under consideration.
