The Nigeria international opened the scoring in the 38th minute with a composed finish to register his second league goal of the season and give Forest a deserved advantage before halftime.
Softfootball understands Anthony Elanga doubled the visitors’ lead shortly after the restart, while fellow Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi came off the bench in stoppage time to replace Chris Wood as Forest comfortably saw out the victory.
The win extended Nottingham Forest’s winning streak to three consecutive Premier League matches and lifted Nuno Espirito Santo’s side onto 31 points. However, their stay in third could depend on the outcome of Arsenal’s clash against Crystal Palace later in the day.
