Ola Aina delivered an outstanding display as Nottingham Forest beat Manchester United 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday, earning strong praise for his performance on the flank.

Sky Sports handed the Nigeria international a rating of seven out of ten for his showing against Ruben Amorim’s side, reflecting his composure and forward running throughout a physically demanding evening.

Softfootball understands his compatriot Taiwo Awoniyi went unrated after only coming on in the closing minute to help see out the win.

Forest made the perfect start through Nikola Milenkovic’s early header, before Rasmus Hojlund pulled United level in the 18th minute following a rebound. Both sides then struck the woodwork before the break, with Jota Silva and Bruno Fernandes both denied by the frame of the goal.

Forest emerged sharper after the interval, with Morgan Gibbs-White restoring their lead almost immediately before Chris Wood extended it further. Fernandes pulled one back on the hour mark, but Forest held firm under late pressure to seal a memorable win, just days after a heavy defeat to Manchester City.
