Nigeria defender Ola Aina has been named Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month for November, capping off a standout run of form on either flank.

The 28-year-old scored his first goal for the club during the month, doing so in style, while also playing a key role in two clean sheets for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Softfootball reports that his energetic displays have made him a consistent presence in Forest’s push up the table this season.

Aina’s form was on full display in Forest’s 1-0 win over Ipswich Town last weekend, a performance many pointed to as one of his best in a Forest shirt. The former Chelsea man has now scored once in 14 league appearances for the Tricky Trees.

Forest now turn their attention to a tough away trip to Old Trafford, where they face Manchester United on Saturday. Aina’s versatility and consistency will likely be needed again as Forest look to continue their positive momentum away from the City Ground.
