There are rumours circulating that Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is on his way to make a return to Chippa United ahead of the new season. Sources indicate that Nwabali is back in South Africa and looks poised to rejoin the Chilli Boys.
Softfootball understands Nwabali terminated his contract by mutual agreement and left Chippa United earlier this 2026 after returning from AFCON 2025 in Morocco, where Nigeria won the bronze medal after defeating Egypt on penalties.
At the moment, nothing is officially confirmed, but reports indicate Nwabali is currently training with Chippa United as they continue preparations for the 2026/27 season under head coach Brandon Truter.
