Fisayo Dele-Bashiru marked his first Serie A goal in style, coming off the bench to seal Lazio’s 3-0 win over Bologna on Sunday.
The Super Eagles midfielder entered in the 86th minute and needed just seven more to make his mark, netting in the 93rd to put the result beyond doubt.
Softfootball gathered that it’s a milestone goal for the Nigerian, who joined Lazio from Hatayspor and had been waiting for his moment in Italy’s top flight.
His first goal in Lazio colors actually came earlier, back in September, when he scored in a 3-0 win at Dinamo Kiev in the Europa League.
The win extended Lazio’s unbeaten run to seven straight victories across all competitions, a stretch that’s starting to turn heads in Serie A.
For Dele-Bashiru, breaking his domestic league duck in a game already decided adds a personal high point to a strong week for the club.
