Endrick has revealed that Carlo Ancelotti once referred to him as “Bobby”, a light‑hearted nickname the Real Madrid coach used in one of his media remarks.

Softfootball understands the pair have developed a warm, father‑and‑son‑like relationship, with Ancelotti known for his ability to connect personally with young players.

In the same media appearance, Ancelotti also addressed the injury suffered by Wesley França, who has been left out of Brazil’s official squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Italian manager expressed disappointment but stressed that Brazil have the depth to cope.

This was Ancelotti’s statement:

It’s a shame to lose Wesley. We have to wait for the tests now.

Eventually, we have good players to replace him.

Ancelotti further emphasised how easy it has been to work with his current Brazil squad, praising the group’s mentality and professionalism. He asserted that Brazil have top players, leaders, and exceptional characters, all of whom have made his job smoother as the team prepares for the World Cup.
