The Super Eagles have arrived in Portugal ahead of their international friendly against the Portuguese national team next week, following their 2–2 draw with Poland in Warsaw.

The team touched down in Portugal today, Thursday, 4 June 2026, at around 20:30 British time, as preparations continue for their second match of the June international window.
Softfootball can confirm that Nigeria will face Portugal in Leiria on Wednesday, with kick‑off scheduled for 8:45 PM (Nigerian time). The fixture is expected to provide another valuable test for Eric Chelle’s side as they continue to build rhythm, cohesion and tactical sharpness.
After an encouraging performance against Poland, despite late lapses that cost them victory, the Super Eagles will be looking to refine their structure, improve game management and maintain intensity across both halves.
