Tottenham Hotspur secured a narrow 1–0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, grinding out an important result in what has been a turbulent stretch of the season.

The match itself was tight and cagey, with Spurs doing just enough to get over the line. It wasn’t a dominant performance, but they managed to stay compact, take their chance, and hold on for the win something that has been missing in recent fixtures.

After the game, fans took to social media with a mix of humour, frustration, and sarcasm.

Fat joked about the unlikely hero, writing:

Hank Azaria nets the winner for Spurs today

adding a playful twist to the winning goal.

Nash focused on momentum and rivalry, saying:

Big win coz of the Spanners win, take this onto Villa… now its our next biggen. #COYS

showing belief that this result could spark something.

Former Big Man questioned the team’s overall season, writing:

WTF you’ve been doing? Year is almost running out and this is your first win of the year.

reflecting frustration over inconsistency.

Mank took a more pessimistic view, stating:

It’s irrelevant since west ham snagged a win… relegation battle is now out of spurs’ hands.

highlighting concerns about Spurs’ position relative to rivals.

Alex reacted with sarcasm:

First win in 2016 is wild, man. Congratulations

while Abdullah added:

You won but you lost 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

capturing the strange mood among fans even after a victory.

This mixed reaction is understandable given Spurs’ recent form. softootball had reported that The team had previously thrown away a 2–0 advantage to draw 2–2 with Brighton, and also suffered a heavy 3–0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest results that raised serious concerns about their consistency and mentality.

While the 1–0 win over Wolves offers some relief, it does little to completely calm the doubts surrounding the team.

Spurs now face a crucial run of games where consistency not just results will determine how their season is ultimately judged.
