Arsenal FC have often been labelled one of the “most boring teams” in the Premier League during the 2025/26 season. However, statistics gathered by Softfootball suggest a very different reality.

Despite the criticism surrounding their style of play, Arsenal currently hold the record for the most goals scored in the Premier League this season, highlighting the effectiveness of their attacking system.

Even more impressive is their record across cup competitions. Since the beginning of the 2025/26 campaign, Arsenal have won every match they have played in domestic and European cup competitions.

FA Cup run

In the FA Cup, Arsenal entered the competition in the third round and have progressed comfortably.

Results so far include:

  • 4–1 win against Portsmouth (Away)
  • 4–0 win against Wigan Athletic (Home)
  • 2–1 win against Mansfield Town (Away)

Champions League dominance

Arsenal have also been outstanding in the UEFA Champions League league phase, finishing top with eight wins from eight matches.

Their results included victories against major European clubs such as:

  • 4–0 vs Atlético Madrid
  • 3–1 vs FC Bayern Munich
  • 3–1 vs Inter Milan
  • 2–0 vs Athletic Club

The North London side will now face Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Round of 16, with the first leg scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 at the BayArena.

League Cup success

Arsenal have also enjoyed a strong campaign in the EFL Cup.

Their path to the final included victories over:

  • Port Vale
  • Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Crystal Palace FC (after penalties)
  • Chelsea FC in the semi-finals

Arsenal will now face Manchester City in the final at Wembley Stadium on March 22, 2026 as the final will also mark a rematch of the 2018 League Cup final, which Manchester City won 3–0.

Quiet success

While critics continue to debate Arsenal’s style of play, the numbers suggest the team are one of the most effective sides in Europe this season.

With strong performances in the league, domestic cups, and the Champions League, Arsenal’s campaign could still end with multiple trophies if their current momentum continues.
