Softfootball can confirm that AC Milan have no plans to improve their current bid for highly rated Brazilian midfielder André Luiz, despite Corinthians initially accepting the proposal for the 2006-born talent.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his x handle, the Serie A club have made their position clear during negotiations: the transfer must be completed under Milan’s current conditions or the deal could collapse entirely.

he stated:

AC Milan have no plans to improve their bid for André after Corinthians initially accepted the proposal for 2006 born midfielder. Milan have been clear: deal to be done soon at their conditions or it can really collapse.

The Italian giants are reportedly unwilling to adjust the financial structure of their offer and are pushing for a quick resolution.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that Milan are determined to maintain their valuation of the player, believing their proposal already reflects the midfielder’s current experience and development stage. The club is therefore waiting for Corinthians to proceed under those agreed terms rather than reopening discussions around the fee.

Corinthians had initially shown a willingness to move forward with the deal, but Milan’s firm stance has now created a critical moment in the negotiations. If both clubs cannot finalize the agreement quickly, there is a real possibility the transfer could fall through.

André Luiz, who has made around 20 professional appearances so far in his young career, is already regarded as one of the promising midfield prospects emerging from Brazil. The teenager has gained attention for his technical quality, strong close control and composure on the ball, traits that many attribute to his futsal-influenced development.

In addition to his technical ability, the young midfielder has also shown notable physical presence in the centre of the pitch, making him a well-rounded profile that has begun attracting interest from several European clubs. Milan, however, are currently leading the race and are hoping to secure the deal in the coming weeks if negotiations progress smoothly.

The Rossoneri view André Luiz as a long-term investment and a potential future option for their midfield as they continue to target promising young players from South America as part of their recruitment strategy.

Meanwhile, in other developments surrounding the club, AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed speculation regarding his future at the San Siro. Speaking during a pre-match press conference on February 28, 2026, the Italian manager insisted there is “total harmony” between himself and the club’s hierarchy.

Allegri emphasised that both he and the Milan leadership remain fully aligned on the club’s long-term project and ambitions, reaffirming his commitment to guiding the team forward as they continue their push for domestic and European success.
