The Super Eagles and Super Falcons have been nominated for the prestigious Men’s and Women’s National Team of the Year awards at the 2024 CAF Awards.
The Super Eagles secured their place on the shortlist after reaching the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Joining them in contention are African champions Cote d’Ivoire’s Elephants and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.
On the women’s side, the Super Falcons earned their spot thanks to their participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, although they were unable to advance beyond the group stage.
Competing for the Women’s National Team of the Year alongside them are South Africa’s Banyana Banyana and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses.
The highly anticipated CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16, celebrating the best in African football.
