Osimhen scores hatrick as Galatasaray win 4-0

Victor Osimhen showcased his incredible form with a sensational hat-trick as Galatasaray cruised to a 4-0 victory over Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday. His clinical finishing led the league leaders to another dominant win, solidifying their position at the top of the table.

The Nigerian striker has now recorded 20 goals and four assists in just 22 league appearances this season. Across all competitions, Osimhen’s tally stands at an impressive 26 goals and five assists in 30 matches, proving his consistency and attacking prowess.

His recent form has been outstanding, finding the net five times in his last three games. Against Antalyaspor, he opened the scoring in the 30th minute, setting the tone for Galatasaray’s commanding performance. Moments before halftime, Alvaro Morata converted a penalty to double the lead.

Osimhen struck again in first-half stoppage time, making it 3-0 before the break. He completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute, putting the game beyond doubt and further cementing his status as one of the league’s most lethal forwards.

Following his brilliant display, the 2023 African Player of the Year was substituted in the 68th minute. His contributions had already ensured Galatasaray’s dominance, allowing the team to see out the game comfortably.

With this victory, Galatasaray have strengthened their grip on the league title race. They now sit on 71 points, holding a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahce, who have two games in hand.

Osimhen’s partnership with Morata has been crucial to Galatasaray’s attacking success. While Osimhen’s finishing has been outstanding, Morata’s presence and link-up play have added another dimension to their offense.

As the season progresses, Osimhen’s red-hot form will be key to Galatasaray’s title charge. If he continues at this pace, he could end the season as one of the most prolific strikers in Turkish football history.
