Nottingham Forest are reportedly in advanced discussions to sign two Juventus players as they prepare for a competitive return to European football. The club, fresh from a seventh-place Premier League finish and Conference League qualification, is looking to bolster its squad with quality additions.
SoftFootball has reliably learned that Forest are negotiating a deal for Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah for a combined fee of over €20m (£17.05m) on the table. While nothing is finalised yet, Forest are actively pushing to secure the versatile pair.
Weah, who featured in several roles for Juventus, recorded six goals and three assists across 39 appearances in Serie A and the Champions League. His adaptability could be key for Forest in both domestic and European campaigns. He also featured off the bench at the ongoing Club World Cup.

Meanwhile, Mbangula – a pacey left-winger – enjoyed a breakthrough season, contributing four goals and three assists in limited starts. His attacking flair could inject competition into Forest’s wide options.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side already boasts attacking options like Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa, but Mbangula’s skillset would increase depth. However, with Botafogo trio also being eyed, some fans are concerned that too many additions may unsettle the team’s balance.
Still, the Conference League’s demands could justify a deeper, more versatile squad. Weah’s experience and flexibility across multiple roles may prove invaluable, while Mbangula brings youthful energy and potential to the City Ground.
A prior report from SoftFootball revealed that Timothy Weah has turned down an offer from Nottingham Forest, resisting pressure from Juventus, who had hoped to offload the 25-year-old this summer.
Despite making 43 appearances for Juventus last season — including five goals and three assists in Serie A, his best season statistically — Weah now finds himself in limbo.
