Gian Piero Gasperini’s side showed resilience to secure the victory, maintaining their strong form in the competition.

Lookman opened the scoring in the 51st minute, finishing a well-placed pull-back from substitute Charles De Ketelaere with a simple tap-in from close range. The goal set the tone for Atalanta’s control of the game.

Nicolò Zaniolo then sealed the result with a late strike two minutes from time, doubling the lead and ensuring Atalanta left Stuttgart with all three points.

Reflecting on the game, Lookman told UEFA.com, “We had a positive first half and created several dangerous moments.

Our focus was to continue pressing, knowing the chances would eventually come. We’re thrilled with the three points and look forward to building on this success.”

Lookman also acknowledged the intensity of Stuttgart’s home crowd, noting how the vibrant atmosphere added to the challenge.

“Playing here isn’t easy—the atmosphere was electric. It’s a great experience to play in such a stadium and even better to secure the win in these conditions.”

This season, Lookman has been in fine form, contributing eight goals and five assists across 13 appearances for Atalanta.

His consistency continues to make him an invaluable asset for Gasperini’s squad as they pursue further success in European competition.
